Sage memorial Museum

The Brownville Historical Society welcomes visitors to the Sage Memorial museum which opened April 23, 2016. The museum features Native American history in Nebraska and surrounding states. The Society owns a collection of 58 Frank Rinehart photos taken at the 1898 Indian Congress and Trans-Mississippi Exposition in Omaha.

Rinehart was selected as the exclusive official photographer for the Exposition. He and his assistant, Adolph Muhr, photographed more than 500 delegates to the Indian Congress including the great Chiefs Geronimo, Red Cloud and White Swan.

The museum also features:
