Thousands Flock to the Brownville Flea Market!
The Brownville Flea Market is an outdoor event located on the Main Street, side streets, Depot and old gas station areas of Historic Brownville, Nebraska. More than 250 vendors participate in the spring flea market, held annually during Memorial Day weekend, and more than 200 vendors participate in the fall market.

FAQS
Q: What are the hours of the flea market?
A: Published hours for the flea market are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you have prepaid and have confirmation of your spot you may go directly to your space and set up after 4 p.m. on Friday, May 26. If you have not pre-registered you can come to the Brownville Historical Society Office located on the east side of Main Street next to the post office to see what spaces are available. Office hours during the flea market are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Q: What are the sizes of the space and costs?
A: $50 for one (22’ long x 15’ deep) regular vendor space/$90 for one (22’ long x 15’ deep) food vendor space. You must stay within your boundary lines, which are clearly marked. On Main Street a 14’ emergency traffic lane will be strictly enforced. You will be asked to move your booth if you are outside your allotted area. Church parking lot had to remain open for Sunday morning use.
Q: Is electricity available and if so, what is the cost?
A: Yes! $25 for a regular vendor and $35 for a food vendor (food vendors have first claim to electricity as it is very limited). No air conditioning or heaters are allowed due to the system limits.
Q: Are refunds or rollovers available?
A: Yes, but absolutely no refunds or refunds are available after May 1, 2021. Contact Steve Woerth at (402) 825-6001 for more information.
Q: How are taxes handled at the Flea Market?
A: Payment of Nebraska Sales Taxes are the responsibility of the vendor. By law, all vendor information must be provided by the fair organizer to the Nebraska Department of Revenue. The sales tax rate is 6.5%.

No food or beverages may be sold without explicit permission from the fair organizer. All food vendors must have a valid Nebraska Food Permit. A copy of this permit must be provided to the fair organizer at each fair. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

We take pride in having a clean fair and work hard to keep it that way. We appreciate your help and cooperation. No draining of sewage on Flea Market or town premises. Garbage cans and dumpsters are located throughout the fair. A garbage truck will come through daily after 6 p.m. If you need a garbage bag, please stop by the office (information provided above).

Public restrooms are located in the Town Hall. Portable facilities are also available.
RESERVATION FOR NEXT FLEA MARKET
Applications will be passed out on Saturday for vendors to fill out. Please fill out the form completely including your sales tax number. On Sunday, the event coordinator will be collecting applications for the next flea market. Applications can also be brought to the Brownville Historical Society Office on Main Street.
